Fagu is a halcyon village perpetually shrouded in snow and fog.


We derived the term "Fagu" from the word "fog," which is one of the reasons behind it. Fagu, at 2450 meters in elevation, is known for its stunning vistas and high-altitude settings. Shimla and Kufri are only 18 and 6 kilometres apart, making for a fantastic weekend getaway. Indira Tourist Park in Kufri:

The Indira Tourist Park has a lot to offer nature lovers, adventure seekers, and adventurers beyond greenery. 

The park also has an ice cream parlour, a beer bar, and a video game parlour for family fun. You may appreciate the scenery while sampling delectable treats or opt to be shot in Himachali attire. Indira Gandhi is said to have visited this place in 1972 to sign the Shimla Agreement with Pakistan, and the region came to be known as the Indira Tourist Park since then. The Indira Tourist Park opens from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. every day and costs INR 5 for children and INR 10 for adults.

How do you get to Kufri from Shimla?

  • By Air: Jubbarhatti Airport, about one and a half hours from the city centre, is the closest airport to Kufri from Shimla. Many foreign travellers fly to Chandigarh from the airports of Delhi, Pune, Mumbai, or Bengaluru. Then, to get to your preferred place, you can hire a cab or a private taxi.
  • By Road: Kufri has excellent transportation links to nearby towns and is easily accessible by road from all parts of the city. Many commercial and government-owned buses connect Shimla, Rampur, and Narkanda to Kufri.
